PARENT AND CAREGIVER COUNSELLING
The transition to parenthood can be challenging, especially if our own needs for attachment, safety and security were not met as a child. Feelings of disillusionment, anxiety and the constant struggle to be 'good enough' tend to take centre stage. I work with parents and caregivers to explore these feelings and the impact that their own early experiences has on their capacity to be the parents they long to be. I also work with parents who have experienced loss through miscarriage or still birth, or who are struggling to bond with their child because of depression and anxiety and want to build a more loving and engaging relationship with them.
